Hello learners,
How are you doing? Hope you have been practising speaking in English with the help of our lessons. We are about to celebrate Teacher’s Day Tomorrow. As all of you know, tomorrow is Radha Krishnan’s birthday. His birthday September 5 is celebrated as Teacher’s Day.
It is appropriate for all of us to remember our teachers who shaped us into real human beings. Let us remember them and recollect our Cherished memories.
I would like to talk about my three great teachers. This was my first day's impression of those that has lasted till now.
I was the student of ANR COLLEGE Gudivada - I did my intermediate there. Sri Goparaju Sambasiva Rao, Nuthulapati Raghava Rao and Balabomma Durga Prasad were the three among many teachers who taught me. The threesome influenced me and my thinking very much. So, I consider these three the Trinity of my Teachers.
Let me briefly explain about my trio of teachers.
Sri Goparaju Sambasiva Rao taught me English in my intermediate. Clad in white dhoti and lalchi and with a smiling face, he entered the classroom.. With a well-modulated Voice, he addressed the students. His sweet voice gave a beauty to his articulation, stress and intonation. So, I am much fascinated by his pleasant voice. He is very soft-spoken and well-disciplined. Apart from being a good teacher, he is a great human being. His influence on me is an abiding one.
Sri Nutulapati. Raghavarao was my Telugu Lecturer. With a broad forehead, a RomanNose ; being dressed in white dhoti and lalchi, with a Sash over his shoulder, he sauntered into our classroom. With his gentle voice he began teaching us wonderfully.
My association with him has continued even though I was out of college. Still, it continues.. He is now 94. Even at this ripe age he is ever ready to fountain his vast Knowledge with perfect clarity and command. If I am successful as a creative writer a bit, it is because of Sri Nuthulapati Raghava Rao’s prop.
While my two lecturers , as I mentioned earlier, are traditional in their attire, Sri Balabomma Durgaprasad, my Commerce Lecturer, is quite modern. With his full sleeves shirt tucked in, wearing shoes, and with a bushy moustache, a pleasant face, he jumped into the classroom.
At once the class became lively- He taught very charmingly. It is his sense of humour that enlivened the class. He is very affable and amiable. His influence on me is much deeper. I consider him my friend, philosopher and guide. My association with him has grown and is ever growing. I must unfold one thing here. It is Sri Balabomma Durga Prasad who inculcated love in me for English and Literature. I consider myself very fortunate to have been the student of the TRIO. I am deeply beholden to you, SIRS. for your love, affection and warmness.
